Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To transport smoothly and surely can bodies without interrupting the operation of transport and retain a belt under a clean condition at all times, by providing the belt movably along the transfer direction of the can bodies on the side part of a can body transfer passage. CONSTITUTION:A can body 3 thrown onto a belt conveyor 4, even if it is under the condition of its upper end portion 3a being stuck with paint, is smoothly transferred through support and guide by butting the upper end portion 3 of the can body 3 against a metal belt 10. Meanwhile, at a pulley 11. portion, the cloth of a cleaning roll 15 on which a solvent is sprayed by means of a spray device 20, while being rotated by means of a drive mechanism 19, is pressed against the metal belt 1-0 stuck with paint, by means of the energizing force of springs 18. As a result, dirt on the belt 10 is mixed with the solvent and becomes easily removable, and then, dirt stuck on the belt 10 is surely wiped off by means of a wiping off cloth 21 which is pressed against the belt 10 by means of a pressing plate 22.
