CHARACTERISTIC ERROR CORRECTING DEVICE FOR CAMERA

PURPOSE:To use small-capacity E PROMs and to decrease test man-hours at the time of shipping by storing the E PROMs with measured characteristic data corresponding to predetermined measurements and logical characteristic data. CONSTITUTION:A plate 24 for testing is put in operation by a test output circuit 23 and when X1, X2, X3, and X4 corresponding to distance sample points LPij are written in words in an E PROM 10 for storing range finding characteristic data successively, values of marks 'X' are obtained as those values. For exam ple, when an actual range finding code Ya is 180, Xa=175 is obtained and used to obtain L=0.972 in a distance contrast table LREF. Then when X1-X6 corresponding to exposure sample points EPij are written successively in words in an E PROM 11 for exposure characteristic data, values of marks 'X' are obtained as those numerals; and an exposure quantity contrast table EREF is looked up with an actual code Ya=100 to obtain Ev=13(EV). Consequently, the small-capacity E PROMs are used and the testing man-hours at the time of forwarding are reduced.
