CONSTITUTION:The dampening water in a dampening water tank 10 is circulat ed to a circulating pump 11 a water boat 12 the dampening water tank 10. A part of the dampening water discharged from the pump 11 is injected between a filter 15 the sample liquid injection port 6 of the alcohol concn. detector 16 the space between the circular cylindrical inside electrode 1 and the cylindrical outside electrode 2 at the time of detecting the alcohol concn. of the dampening water (sample//alcohol-contg. sample liquid). A high-frequency voltage is impressed between the electrode 1 and the electrode 2 and the dielec tric constant is measured, by which the alcohol concn. is detected.
