PURPOSE:To obtain the simple, inexpensive driving device by providing a presser and cover member with a cover part which holds a driving gear in a copying frame, etc., and an elastic pressure part for the driving gear. CONSTITUTION:When gears are coupled, a set screw 14 stopping the presser and cover member 13 is turned off and the presser and cover member 13 is detached from the frame temporarily. Then, a link 8 and an idler gear 9 are fallen down through the opening part 16 of the frame 15 and in this state, the member is fixed to the frame 15 again with the set screw 14 while the member 13 is turned by 180 deg. from the fitting state, namely, while the elastic pressure part 13B presses the link 8 toward an option input gear 10. Consequently, the idler gear 9 is pressed with proper pressure to engage the input gear 10 and the turning force of an option driving gear 7 is transmitted securely to the opttion input gear 10 through the idler gear 9.
