AUTOMATIC ANSWERING TELEPHONE SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To unnecessitate the backup of a D-RAM by storing the contents of a response message in a volatile memory and a non-volatile memory when recording the message, and recording the recorded contents of the non-volatile memory into the volatile memory when the stored contents of the volatile memory are erased by power failure. CONSTITUTION:As a response message recording medium, the volatile memory such as a D-RAM 25 or the like, for example, is used and as a requirement message recording medium, the non-volatile memory such as a recording tape 21 or the like, for example, is used. When recording the response message, the contents of the message are stored in the volatile memory 25 and the non- volatile memory 21 and when the stored contents of the volatile memory 25 are erased by the power failure, the recorded contents of the non-volatile memory 21 are recorded to the volatile memory 25 when the power failure is recovered. Thus, the backup circuit and the battery of the D-RAM 25 are eliminated.
