Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide the subject polymer containing cross-linking points therein, having excellent emulsion stability, usability and skin safety and useful for cosmetics by copolymerizing (meth)acrylic acid with an alkyl (meth)acrylate ester as a copolymerizable component in specific amounts, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The objective polymer contains 10pts.wt. of a (meth)acrylic acid of formula I (R is H, methyl) and 0.02-2pts.wt. of an alkyl (meth)acrylate [e.g. an alkyl (meth)acrylate of formula II (R is 8-20 C alkyl) [e.g. lauryl (meth) acrylate or stearyl (meth)acrylate] and has cross-linking points in the copolymer.
