MAGNETO-RESISTANCE EFFECT TYPE HEAD

PURPOSE:To decrease the noises by adjacent tracks by consisting a part of soft magnetic thin-film patterns of >=2 kinds of magneto-resistance effect material which vary in the way of a change in electric resistance with a change in magnetization direction. CONSTITUTION:The electrode forming parts at both ends of 1st MR patterns 1 are formed with 2nd MR patterns 2 of the different code of a magneto- resistance change rate. The electrodes 3 are connected via the 2nd MR patterns 2 to the 1st MR patterns 1. 'Permalloy(R)' of 82%Ni-18%Fe is used for the 1st MR patterns 1 and an MR material of 85%Fe-15%Ir is used for the 2nd MR patterns 2. Both sides of the element are held in place by magnetic shielding layers consisting of soft magnetic films and bias magnetic field impressing means are added into the shielding layers, by which the head is produced.
