Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To rapidly cure an adhesive for bonding by a method wherein a two pack- type aqueous rapid cure adhesive consisting of an aqueous main agent and an aqueous curing agent is used as the adhesive, one of the agents is applied on the body spine, the other is applied on the cover, and the coated surfaces are contact bonded with each other. CONSTITUTION:As a two pack-type aqueous rapid cure adhesive consisting of an aqueous main agent and an aqueous curing agent, every adhesive which cures in a moment by the contact of the aqueous main agent with the aqueous curing agent to form an adhesive layer can be used. The two pack-type aqueous rapid cure adhesive is, for example, an adhesive made of an aqueous main agent containing a polyvinyl alcohol and an aqueous curing agent containing a boric compound or an adhesive made of an aqueous main agent containing a polymer compound having imide group and an aqueous curing agent containing a compound reacting with imide group. Because an unsatisfactory liner adhesion and a shortage of adhesive power easily occur in bookbinding, the adhesive preferably contains a solid content by the amount of 20wt.% or more. One of the aqueous main agent and the aqueous curing agent is applied on the body spine, the other is applied on the cover, and the coated surfaces of the body spine and the cover are contact bonded with each other so that the adhesive is rapidly cured.
