Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a reproduced picture by using part of an upper electrode for a common electrode when close contact type image sensors are arranged side by side to form the long sized close contact type image sensor to reduce position deviation of the common electrode thereby realizing a light emitting element array arranged almost in a line. CONSTITUTION:When insulation boards 1, 1' on which a light receiving element array is formed are butted and adhered, light receiving elements 10 are arranged in a same pitch in the main scanning direction even between the adhered parts. In this case, even when the position of the insulation bards 1, 1' is deviated in the subscanning direction, the both are arranged in a line by taking notice of an upper electrode 13a of the insulation board 1 and an upper electrode 13b' of the insulation board 1'. Then a connection element 14 of a square form made of a conductive material is arranged between the upper electrode 13a of the board 1 and the upper electrode 13b' of the board 1' to connect the both electrically, then even when the insulation boards are deviated, the light receiving element array arranged in a line is realized.
