Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain easily modified lumber superior in dimensional stablity, by a method wherein after a melamine resine precondensate is applied to the surface of the lumber and dried, the same is inserted between hot plates of a hot press and hot-press treatment is performed. CONSTITUTION:Treated lumber obtained by drying by air by adding an amino resin condensate comprised of melamine-formaldehyde to the lumber or a ligneous material is inserted between hot plates of a hot press established at 100-200 deg.C and hot-press-treated under a condition of 3-25kg/cm for 3-20 minutes.
