METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CASTING METAL

PURPOSE:To manufacture a casting having excellent internal quality and shape accuracy by preventing entrapping of gas and improving running ability of molten metal. CONSTITUTION:The metal base material 31 in a melting chamber 10 in a water- cooled copper crucible 4 is melted with an induction heating coil 9, and a mold chamber 15 as possible ascend/descend in upper space 13 of the melting chamber is descended to communicate the runner 22 with the molten metal, and by descending the mold chamber 15, gas pressure in the upper space 13 of melting chamber and in the melting chamber 10 are raised, and by gas pressure difference, the molten metal is pressed up into casting space 23 and cast.
