PRODUCTION OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To smoothly transfer powder contg. a uniform fine secondary phase without blocking the discharge hole of a gas transferring device and to uniformly blow the secondary phase different from a matrix phase on the surface of a matrix phase bath. CONSTITUTION:When a particle- and/or fiber-shaped fine secondary phase different from a matrix phase is directly added to a matrix phase metal bath consisting of a molten or half-solidified metal, the secondary phase is mixed with matrix phase metal powder for regulating particle size distribution and this powdery mixture is blown on the surface of the matrix phase metal bath.
