Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To carry out regenerative brake control accurately and positively until a motor stops completely even upon power interruption. CONSTITUTION:A motor drive path 6 from a power supply 1 to an inverter circuit 4 is connected through diodes 13, 14 with a control path 12 from the power supply 1 to a control power supply circuit 9 so that a charging current flows from a first smoothing capacitor 3 to a second smoothing capacitor 8. Upon interruption of the power supply 1, the control power supply circuit 9 is fed with power from the smoothing capacitor 8 and a regenerative current is fed from a motor to the first smoothing capacitor 3. When the charging potential of the first smoothing capacitor 3 exceeds the sum of the charging potential of the second smoothing capacitor 8 and the forward voltage of the diodes 13, 14, a charging current is fed from the first smoothing capacitor 3 to the second smoothing capacitor 8 and the control power supply circuit 9 is fed with power through the regenerative current of the motor.
