PURPOSE:To obtain superior high sensitivity characteristics and stable potential characteristics at the time of repeated uses by forming a photosensitive layer containing a specified disazo pigment on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer formed on the conductive substrate contains the disazo pigment represented by formula I in which B is a group of formula II and the like; each of R1-R4 is H, optionally substituted alkyl, halogen, fluoromethyl, or cyano; A1 is a coupler residue of formula III; A2 is a coupler residue of formula IV or the like; each of R5-R8 is H, optionally substituted alkyl, aryl, or an aromatic heterocyclic group; m is 1 or 2; and n is 1 or 2.
