Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enable a small amount to be measured by placing a plurality of hole elements with a specified pitch in parallel to a detection surface of a magnet piece and a position of an object to be detected to be detected based on a phase difference of detection result of the hole element. CONSTITUTION:Hole elements 4 and 5 are placed near a detection surface side of a magnetic piece 1. A pitch of the elements 4 and 5 is set to lambda/4. Also, a waveform shaping circuit 3 is connected to the elements 4 and 5 through an amplifier 2. Then, when the magnetic piece 1 moves in a direction marked by an arrow, change in the magnetic field is detected by the elements 4 and 5 which are placed at lambda/4 pitch. The change in this magnetic field is amplifier by an amplifier 2, is shaped by a circuit 3, and then an output corresponding to the elements 4 and 5 can be obtained, thus enabling the change in magnetic field to be detector for each lambda/4 phase difference of output.
