SOFTWARE OPERATION TRACE ACQUISITION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a program and a data table for tracing by preserving the contents of a table which is used so far they are prior to the start of the process of an object module. CONSTITUTION:Plural tables which hold information determining the operation of software are provided by hierarchizing and the contents of the table which is used so far are preserved as they are prior to the start of the process of the object module. When the (n) tables are given numbers 1-(n), initial data is written in the 1st table at the time of initialization and a numeral 1 is stored in a current pointer 5. Then when a step 11 is entered after a step 10 is started, the numeral of the current pointer 5 is referred to, the contents of the table indicated by the number are copied to the table having the next number, and the current painter 5 is increased. The need for storage areas for logic and tracing data is therefore eliminated.
