Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To contrive cost reduction, miniaturization, high speed access and high reliability of the device by realizing a servo system of a spindle motor rotating system and a magnetic head positioning system by means of software. CONSTITUTION:Data is written in advance in a shipping area of a magnetic disk 4, while a DC erasing part is formed. A start-up control of a spindle motor and an operation control of a magnetic head are performed by a control device 1. The rotation at a constant speed of the magnetic disk 4 is confirmed by a servo timing circuit 11 based on the read-out of the data in the shipping area by the magnetic head 7 and the detection of the DC erasing part, and a pseudo index signal is sent to the control device 1.
