COMPRESSION CONNECTING DEVICE FOR CABLE CONDUCTOR

PURPOSE:To reduce the size and weight of a compression connecting device for cable conductors while allowing the device to cope with a cable conductor of any thickness by installing compressing hydraulic-cylinders inclinedly against the center line of each hold-die restraining a conductor connector sleeve. CONSTITUTION:Each of hydraulic cylinders 4, 4a is installed in one 3 of hold- dies 3, 3a, prepared through the process of cutting a material into upper and lower parts, at an angle of not more than 90 degrees to the end-part side of the die 3, and preferably at an inclination of 45 degrees that each of compressing istons 6, 6a may be sufficiently inserted into a connector sleeve 2 without causing any difficulty when the hydraulic cylinder is maximized in diameter and brought in contact with each of conductors 1, 1a so that the conductor may be inserted into the connector sleeve 2. Each of hydraulic cylinders 4b, 4c is likewise installed in also the other hold-die 3a, and then the dies 3, 3a are fixed respectively via bolts or the like. A plurality of hydraulic cylinders can thus be installed respectively in the dies without being restricted by their sizes in the case where the sleeve 2 is already formed in small size, so that the work of compressing the conductors may be rendered efficient.
