Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To omit the installation of an inlet damper of an additional draft machine and reduce the equipment cost by regulating the rotational speed of an additional draft machine by a fluid coupling and controlling it so as to bring the degree of opening of a damper at the inlet of a forced draft machine to a value that is specified according to the boiler load. CONSTITUTION:An inlet damper 2 of a forced draft machine and a forced draft machine 3 are provided on an air duct, and at the same time a denitification device 7, air preheater 5, additional fan 9, dust collector 11 are installed to a flue 10 at the outlet of the exhaust gas of a forced draft type boiler 6, and the flue 10 is connected to a chimney 12. This additional fan 9 has a fluid coupling 13 between itself and a fan motor 14, and its rotational speed is controlled to bring the degree of opening of a damper 2 at the inlet of the forced draft machine to a value specified according to the boiler load. There is, therefore, no need to provide an inlet damper to the additional fan 9 and the inside of the furnace of a forced draft type boiler 6 is held below a design pressure and the equipment cost can be reduced.
