OPTOTYPES APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To achieve higher inspection efficiency by allowing quick presentation of a desired target to a person to be inspected with a small and simple construction. CONSTITUTION:This optotypes apparatus 1 presents an optotypes member having various targets for inspecting viewing functions arranged to a person to be inspected. The apparatus is provided with an optotypes shielding means comprising optotypes shielding members 6 and 7 in which an opening area is arranged on the front of the optotypes member to be variable for the optotypes member and a driving section 10 which drives the optotypes shielding members 6 and 7 to present targets in an arbitrary line or column or a single target alone among the targets while other targets are shielded. With such an arrangement, the targets in a desired line or column or a single target is presented among the targets while other targets are shielded thereby enabling the presentation of a desired target alone to the person to be inspected.
