Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain optimum creeping characteristics in response to the kind of yarn to be taken up, and to the form of winding in a creeping control method. CONSTITUTION:In a piston 25 within a fluid cylinder 17 by which a traverse cam provided close to a package 1 is drawn close to or is separated from the package 1, the timing for the movement and the moving speed of the piston 25 are regulated with the supply timing and the supply quantity of compressed fluid controlled, which is supplied to the fluid cylinder 17, the timing and the speed of the traverse 6 are made to be changed when it is drawn close to or is separated from the package 1, so that creeping characteristics are thereby made to be changed.
