SHEET CARRYING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide a sheet carrying device attempting the quickness of the carrying cycle of sheets by performing the detection of carried sheets by a sensor provided at the vicinity of sheet carrying-in means to drive a carrying means, and by moving a carrying mechanism to a desired position when the terminal end of the sheet is detected by the sensor. CONSTITUTION:A carrying path is formed by providing guide plates 52a, 52b, 52c, in such a manner that curvature may be formed as a whole plural set between a carrying-in roller pair 42, a sheet carrying-in means provided at the inlet of a street carrying mechanism 20 and a carrying-out roller pair 44, a sheet carrying-out means provided at the outlet and by providing driving roller pairs 54a, 54b at the joints of the guide plates 52a, 52b, 52c. A first sensor 46 is mounted on the guide plate 52a at the vicinity of the carrying-in roller pair 42. And a second sensor 48 is mounted on the guide plate 52c at the vicinity of the carrying-out roller pair 44. A ball screw 38 is mounted on a side wall of a frame body 50 to allow the movement of the sheet carrying mechanism 20 in the vertical direction.
