Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To facilitate assembling of a cooling water bypass passage and a temperature sensing valve. CONSTITUTION:One end face 9 of a cooling passage housing 8 formed therein with cooling water bypass passages 11, 12 is secured to the outer wall surface of a cylinder head. A temperature sensing valve 16 for controlling the flow of cooling water passing through passages 11, 12 is disposed in each of the passages 11, 12. Cooling water inlet and outlet ports 18, 17 of the bypass passages 11, 12 are opened to the housing end face 9, and are communicated with a cooling water passage in a cylinder head through openings 21, 20 formed in the outer wall surface of the cylinder head.
