Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a silicon-containing polymer having excellent heat resistance and flame retardancy by reacting a specific dichlorosilane with a specific dilithiobenzene at a definite ratio. CONSTITUTION:(A) Dichlorosilane such as dimethyldichlorosilane expressed by formula I (R and R are alkylaryl or aralkyl) is reacted with (B) dilithiobenzene expressed by formula II at a ratio of 1:1 to provide a silicon- containing polymer having good moldability and suitable as a heat resistant material, flame retardant material, conductive material, non-linear optical material, photoresist material, light radical initiator, UV absorbing agent, etc.
