Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To dispense with troublesome control circuits in holding a rotary shaft under a floating condition. CONSTITUTION:An upper part of a rotary shaft 51 is supported by means of a superconductive bearding provided with a permanent magnet 57 for an upper radial bearing, a permanent magnet 65 for an upper thrust bearing, and an upper superconductive body 67. A lower part of the rotary shaft 51 is supported by means of a superconductive bearing provided with a permanent magnet 58 for a lower radial bearing, a permanent magnet 66 for a lower thrust bearing, and a lower superconductive body 68. Alignment of the rotary shaft 51 and a housing 25 is carried out by means of upper and lower aligning members 39, 46, and thereby the rotary shaft 51 is set under a floating condition.
