Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide the method and apparatus for denitrification and desulfurization of hot waste gas, which are capable of substantially, completely removing vaporous sulfuric acid contained in the waste gas(untreated gas) with a simple manner. CONSTITUTION: In this process, a portion of the heat contained in untreated gas flow(ROG), before the contact with heat-utilizing plant, is removed while precipitating sulfuric acid in the form of vapor, and this heat is then added to desulfurized gas flow(REG) before the contact thereof with the heat-utilizing plant. In this apparatus, cooling traps 10, 15, 19 are arranged in the untreated gas flow(ROG), in flow direction of the unreacted gas, in front of the heat- utilizing plant 7 which is connected by fluid-conducting means to heating parts 12, 17, 20 installed in the desulfurized gas flow(REG).
