Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To improve accuracy in the analytical assay for measuring a chromogenic dyeing material by employing a specified thizolyltetrazolium salt as an indicating reagent. CONSTITUTION: As an indication reagent, produced formazan transmits a reflection spectrum indicating a wide plateau exceeding about 600nm. Thizolyltetrazolium salt shown by formula A is employed. Since a reflection spectrum indicating a wide plateau exceeding 600nm is provided, a test sample is caused to react on an analyte and a test composition containing a reducing material, e.g. a reagent producing NADH, and an indicating reagent compound being reduced by the reducing material to produce a chromogenic dyeing material is brought into contact with a test tool containing a mixed solid carrier matrix. The carrier matrix is irradiated from a light source and the reflected light is measured by a detector arrangement thus detecting the reflectance of the carrier matrix. According to the arrangement, accuracy can be improved in the analytical assay for measuring a chromogenic dyeing material.
