CARRIER TAPE CONVEYOR DEVICE FOR TAB TYPE SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE

PURPOSE:To perform the conveyance and clamping of a tape simultaneously by fitting two clamping means to guides slidable in the tape conveying direction, and fixing the clamping means to one belt driven by a rotatory driving body in such a way as to be moved mutually in the reverse direction. CONSTITUTION:Tape clamping means 2, 3 for clamping a tape 1 from the upper and lower faces are fitted to slide guides 4, 5 provided slidably parallel to the moving direction of the tape 1. The respective tape clamping means 2, 3 are fixed to the going path side and return path side of a belt 8 stretched parallel with the moving direction of the tape 1 and driven by a rotarory driving body 6. At the working time, the tape 1 is clamped by the clamping means 2 but released from the clamping means 3, and the tape 1 is conveyed by the fixed distance by the rotatory driving body 6. The tape 1 is then released from the clamping means 2 but clamped by the clamping means 3, and the tape 1 is conveyed by the reverse rotation of the rotatory driving body 6. The conveyance of the tape 1 is thereby performed simultaneously with clamping, so that the tape 1 is prevented from being damaged.
