DOCUMENT PREPARING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To speedily correct an English word whose spelling is mistaken even in the middle of character input and to improve document preparation efficiency by inputting an English sentence and checking spelling. CONSTITUTION:When the check of the spelling of the English word is instructed through the 'spelling check instruction' key 11a of an input part 11 at the time of inputting the English character, the instruction information is given to a spelling check part 13. It fetches the character stored in a check data storage part 15 and judges whether the character is character information except for English or not when instruction information on the checking of spelling is inputted. When it is English character, the spelling check control part 13 continues the input of the character as it is. When character information except for the English character is inputted, the spelling check control part 13 temporarily interrupts the input of the character and the spelling of the English character inputted before the character is inputted is checked.
