Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide an artificial leather compsn. which is relatively inexpensive and has a touch which is very close to natural leather and excellent wear resistance. CONSTITUTION:An artificial leather compsn. prepared by kneading and compounding a leather powder treated with an aldehyde compd., a rubber and a plastic material at 180 deg.C or lower. It can be molded into various complicated shapes by various well-known methods for molding in the rubber and plastic industries and the molded items exhibit especially excellent properties in the temp. dependency of various physical properties and flexibility and wear resistance in comparison with the conventional inexpensive artificial leathers. In addition, as the leather used is one which must be disposed of, it is sufficiently competitive in price with the conventional inexpensive artificial leather. Therefore, this compsn. can be used for an excellent molding material as an abrasion controlling part and a sealing material. In addition, it is possible to apply it to a grip material, a roll material, a boot material and a belt material by making good use of the characteristics of the leather.
