Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a controller for a traffic signaling device, which can oper ate a signaling device by employing a storage battery to be charged by a solar cell as a spare power source even when an external power source is interrupted. CONSTITUTION:A device has three types of power sources of an external power source 7, a solar cell 1 and a storage battery 4 to be charged by the cell 1, and a voltage divider 3 having a Zener diode 32 and a resistor 33 to divide the output voltage of the cell 1 to a voltage necessary for charging the battery 4 and a surplus voltage. Further, voltage sensor and power source selectors 61, 62 for sensing the voltage of the power source 7 and the surplus voltage generated at the resistor 33 and selecting one of the external power source, the surplus voltage and the battery, and a controller 5 of a lamp 2 to be operated by the selected power of the sensor and selector, are provided.
