Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To travel a steel car on a sharp curve in the continuous travel form without requiring a turntable by providing an auxiliary rail at a higher level than that of two normal parallel rails at the curve portion of a track, providing an auxiliary wheel on the steel car with two front wheels and two rear wheels, and traveling the steel car in the three-wheel state. CONSTITUTION:A shift wheel 4 is fitted between front wheels 2 and rear wheels 3 on the center line of a steel car 1, and a shift rail 14 is installed at a higher level than that of rails 12, 13 at the curve portion of a track. When the steel car 1 approaches the curve portion, the shift wheel 4 is gradually lifted in height, and it attains the height of the shift rail 14 at an inlet portion. The front wheels 2 of the steel car 1 are located at the inlet portion of the curve portion, and the rear wheels 3 are completely lifted by the action of the shift wheel 4. The shift wheel 4 is rolled on the shift rail 14 so that the front wheels 2 are invariably faced to the tangent direction of the curve of the rails 12, 13, thus the steel car 1 can be easily traveled on the curve portion.
