Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To prevent the reduction of functional precision due to the influence of the environment by arranging an ultrasonic transmitter and an ultrasonic receiver across an interval and positioning a material to be monitored between them. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic receiver 2 is arranged in opposition to an ultrasonic transmitter 1 connected with an ultrasonic vibration transmitter A across a predetermined distance (a) to connect a selective amplifier 5 with an evaluation device 6. The interval (a) between both of them 1 and 2 is set to a multiple of a wavelength λ of ultrasonic vibration generated by an oscillator 4. When a thready material 3 is passed between both of them, the ultrasonic wave motion sent from the transmitter 1 is attenuated in accordance with the thready material 3 and is received by the receiver 2. It is evaluated by the evaluation device 6 to achieve the evaluation without being affected by the environment.
