Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a good image even after successive copying and to enhance stability against environmental conditions by using a polyester resin as a toner binder and incorporating a specified fluorinated compound as a polarity controller. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic developer comprises a carrier having a silicone resin coating layer and the toner containing the binder of the polyester resin and as the polarity controller at least one of the fluorinated compounds represented by formulae I and II in which R1 is H or optionally substituted alkyl or such aryl; and each of m and n is a positive integer. The accumulation phenomenon of electric charge in the carrier can be effectively suppressed by coating the surface of each carrier core particle with the silicone resin containing a fine conductive powder to impart conductivity to the carrier.
