Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To recover pulp by selectively removing a water absorbable polymer from the water absorbing material of a water absorbable product. CONSTITUTION:The water absorbing material taken out of a water absorbable product equipped with the water absorbing material consisting of pulp and a water absorbable polymer is heat-treated in the presence of an oxidizing agent in the water absorption state of the water absorbable polymer to decompose and solubilize the water absorbable polymer to separate a decomposed product-containing treated solution and pulp.
