PIPE LINE LEAK DETECTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To detect the leak of a pipe line by collecting data on pressure and temperature from pressure gauges and temperature gauges located at plural valve stations provided for the pipe line. CONSTITUTION:The flow condition which concerns about flow pressure and temperature within each section, is computed by the use of a flow simulation program containing data on pressure and temperature in each station between valves mutually adjacent, which is defined to be one section. And the imaginary leakage of each valve station is obtained based on the difference between a flow rate flowing in an valve station from the adjacent upstream section and a flow rate flowing out to the adjacent downstream section from the valve station, the aforesaid imaginary leakage is then averaged by a constant time interval determined in advance. And when the imaginary leakage thus obtained exceeds the threshold value of the aforesaid time interval, it is judged that the subject line has started leaking.
