Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a backing composition improved in transparency, conductivity, fraying prevention, yarn extraction strength, etc., by forming an emulsion containing a copolymer obtained by polymerizing a specified monomer with another copolymerizable vinyl monomer in a solvent. CONSTITUTION:A monomer (A) having a unit of the formula (wherein R1 is H or CH3; X is O or NH; R2 and R3 are each 1-4C alkyl; R4 is H or 1-2C alkyl; (n) is 2-5; and Y is an anion which forms a salt) is copolymerized with at least one vinyl monomer (B) copolymerizable with component A selected from among N-methylol-(meth)acrylamide, N-methoxymethyl(meth)acrylamide, N- ethoxymethyl(meth)acrylamide, etc., at 30-100 deg.C in a solvent to obtain the title composition made from an emulsion of a copolymer having a glass transition temperature of -15 deg.C or below and comprising 10-50wt.% units of monomer (A) and 90-50wt.% units of monomer (B).
