SYSTEM FOR PROTECTING FILE IN RAM DISK

PURPOSE:To prevent a file in a RAM disk from being erroneously erased by raising an alarm, confirming the necessity of preservation and then executing a processing having the danger of erasing memory contents such as the turn-off of a power source, etc., when an operator instructs the processing and data such as the file or the like exist in the RAM disk. CONSTITUTION:A system end recognizing means 1 to recognize a power supply switch operation for turning the power source off and the start instruction of a new system for switching the system, a file existence confirming means 2 to be activated by the system end recognizing means 1 and to judge whether the system operated up to now is a system using the RAM disk or not and whether the data such as the file or the like exist in the RAM disk or not, an operator instruction confirming means 3 to announce the existence of the data to the operator and to request confirmation, and an executing means 4 to turn the power source off or to switch the system according to the confirmation of the operator are provided.
