ARRAY OPTICAL SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE

PURPOSE:To form an array optical semiconductor device, whose optical coupling efficiency with optical fibers is high and is highly reliable, by a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:An array semiconductor light-emitting element 4 having a plurality of luminous parts 5 has an array lens 2 formed at a pitch equal to the pitch of this array and is installed on a semiconductor substrate 1 to transmit the output light of the element 4. Here, the luminous parts 5 and the lenses of the array lens 2 are arranged on a concentric line in 1 to 1. As the element 4 is installed on the substrate 1, a hermetic sealing can be easily performed and the high optical coupling efficiency of an array optical semiconductor device with optical fibers 6 is obtained.
