DISK DEVICE

PURPOSE:To always stably and quickly provide a laser beam for an aimed recording track by driving and controlling the moving means of a light collecting means by a driving force in the same direction as the moving direction of the light collecting position. CONSTITUTION:A disk device discriminates whether the access direction of a laser beam is one from the small diameter side to the large diameter side of a disk 1 or from the large diameter side to the small diameter side with a phase comparison circuit 34 from an output signal (a) of an adder 16 and an output signal (b) of a low-pass filter 22, and when the discrimination direction of the phase comparison circuit 34 is inverted, the output of a D/A converter 31 is inverted, and when the output of a D/A converter 25 is approximately zero, the sign of an output signal (d) of an error amplifier 26 is reversed. Accordingly, even when the imaging position of the laser beam retrogrades near the aimed recording track at the completion of seeking, the signal (d) can be outputted in such direction as can return the retrogradation to the aimed position. Thus, the laser beam can be always stably and quickly provided on the aimed recording track.
