MANUFACTURE OF SOFT FERRITE

PURPOSE:To improve characteristics of a fired ferrite core by using a ceramic bedding plate containing zinc a bedding plate surface which comes in contact with a molded body. CONSTITUTION:When a soft ferrite molded body, which is mainly composed of zinc, is placed and fired on a ceramic bedding plate, an Al2O3 or Al2O3-SiO2 containing ceramic bedding plate, the surface of which coming into contact with the ferrite molded body and which has increased zinc concentration, is used. As a result, the movement of Zn to the bedding plate from ferrite when fired can be stopped substantially. Besides, the zinc-concentration-enhanced bedding plate can be formed by annealing the ceramic bedding plate, containing Al2O3 and Al2O3-20% SiO2 and the like, in ZnO powder at a high temperature for a long period of time.
