INSTRUMENT FOR CHECKING STATE OF DETERIORATION OF INSULATOR

PURPOSE:To enable checkup of the state of rust formed on a pin metal fitting of an insulator in the state wherein the insulator is provided at a pylon, by providing a fitting element of an image pickup means which picks up an image of the pin metal fitting of the insulator in the state wherein it is fixed by an engagement member fixed to the fore end of an operating member. CONSTITUTION:An operating member 1 is made extensible and contractible in the longitudinal direction by a hollow and round double tube. The length thereof is adjusted in accordance with the space between a pylon and an insulator provided thereat, and it is fastened and fixed by a fastening nut 4. On the base end side of the member 1, a cap 5 having an insertion hole formed in the central part is fitted and fixed by a pin 6. To the fore end of the operating member 1, a joining plate 8 is fitted rotatably by a pin 9 and a fitting element 3 of an image pickup means is fixed to this joining plate 8. A frame plate 15 on the fore end side of the fitting element 3 of the image pickup means is so devised that it can be opened and closed, and an electronic steel camera can be held therein and taken out therefrom. According to this constitution, the state of rust formed on a pin metal fitting of the insulator can be checked up in the state wherein the insulator is provided at the pylon.
