Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide a high-critical current characteristic by setting the average diameter of a Nb or Nb alloy filament constituting a superconducting module and/or the average cross section area of the superconducting module to the optimum range. CONSTITUTION:A superconducting module 3 is made of Cu or Cu alloy, a Nb or Nb alloy filament, and Sn or Sn alloy. The module 3 is arranged on the inside of a stabilizing material 1 made of Cu or Cu alloy and an Sn diffusion barrier material 2 made of Nb, for example, to form a composite body, and the composite body is drawn and extended into the target wire diameter. The Nb or Nb alloy filament is designed and manufactured within the range of the average diameter 1-3mumphi. The module 3 is concurrently drawn and extended, and the composite body is designed and manufactured within the range of the average cross section area 0.0314-0.0019625mm at the target wire diameter. After Nb3Sn is generated and heat-treated, a superconducting wire with improved critical current characteristic in the high magnetic field is provided.
