STARTING DEVICE AND STARTING METHOD OF SHIELD EXCAVATOR FOR INCLINED SHAFT

PURPOSE:To improve the inclined shaft excavation work efficiency and safety by pivoting the center of a holder to load a shield excavator between a slope and a horizontal surface formed at the rear side of an inclined shaft to be constructed, and making the incline angle of the holder regulatable. CONSTITUTION:A slope 7 is formed in the ground 5 behind the pit-head 4 of an inclined shaft 3 to be constructed, and between the horizontal surface 8 and the slope 7 of the ground, the center of a holder 10 in the longitudinal direction is pivoted with a hinge 11 and the like. Then, the holder 10 is maintained in the horizontal condition, a shield excavator 2 is loaded on the rear part of the holder 10, and its center of gravity and the pivoting part of the holder 10 are coincided. Then, the holder 10 is rotated and inclined until it is abutted to the slope 7 by using a jack 17 for angle regulation. And the shield excavator 2 is advanced further up to the fithead 4 of the inclined shaft 3, and started.
