Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain the title resin composition for coating film, molding, etc., improved in crack resistance, hardness and surface polishing properties, comprising an acid modified-vinyl ester resin such as a carboxyl group-containing epoxy acrylate and a vinylic polymerizable monomer. CONSTITUTION:(A) An acid modified vinyl ester resin comprising a carboxyl group-containing epoxy acrylate, having 37-70 acid value obtained by blending an epoxy resin with acrylic acid and methylethylhydropquinone, stirring in an air atmosphere at 80 deg.C for 2 hours and adding maleic anhydride is dissolved in (B) a vinylic polymerizable monomer (e.g. styrene) and further optionally mixed with (C) an allyl ether group-containing unsaturated polyester to give the objective vinyl ester resin composition having improved crack resistance by the presence of the component A, unexpectedly and extremely improved hardness and surface polishing properties by the presence of the component C.
