FACSIMILE EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To command a special additional function even between facsimile equipments of different manufacturers. CONSTITUTION:An incoming number extraction section 5a extracts an incoming number from a D channel of a reception message. Moreover, the facsimile equipment is provided with a sub address function conversion section 8d in which whether or not the incoming number from the incoming number extraction section 5a is a number registered in this facsimile equipment is discriminated, and when registered, an additional function is selected based on the sub address in the incoming number. Then a conversion table in the sub address function conversion section 8d stores an incoming number and an additional function corresponding to its sub address. For example, additional functions such as confidentiality, relay multiple address, remote copy,... are stored corresponding to sub addresses 1, 2, 3,... The information is registered onto the conversion table by using an operation panel 7. Furthermore, the facsimile equipment is provided with a function execution section 8c to execute a function designated by the sub address function conversion section 8d.
