MAN-MACHINE INTERFACE SYSTEM FOR LEFT-HANDED PERSON

PURPOSE:To enable operations even for a left-handed person without any trouble by displaying an icon on a display screen based on a right-handed/left-handed instruction while switching the icon display for the right-handed person/left- handed person. CONSTITUTION:For example, a dip switch 7 is provided as a means to register the doninant arm of an operator on an information processing terminal. Connectors 5 and 6 are provided to connect cables to right and left when the operator judges the dominant arm information set to the dip switch 7 in the case of turning on the power source of the information processing terminal or when the cables are attached to a pen, and the dominant arm of the operator is identified by judging whether the cable is connected to the connector 5 or 6 when the power source of the information processing terminal is turned on. Then, a central processing unit (CPU) identifies the dominant arm information and displays an icon 110 on the right side of the display screen 11 for the left- handed operator or displays it on the left side of the display screen 11 for the right-handed operator.
