Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent the fluctuation of the wavelength of output light even when input light intensity is slightly fluctuated for a light intensity/waveform converting device used for the optical signal processing of an optical communication system. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor laser oscillated by a Fabry-Perot type resonator is oscillated with oscillation wavelength by the Fabry-Perot type resonator, light which has shorter wavelength than the intensity modulated oscillation wavelength is inputted to the activating layer 4 of the semiconductor laser as input light, and the intensity change of the input light is converted into the wavelength change of the output light of the semiconductor laser.
