TOP COMB

PURPOSE:To obtain a top comb shortening a combing process, improving removing fraction of nep, etc., and performing spinning of excellent quality by providing combs in front and rear two rows over a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A feed comb 2, and a lower nipper 3 and an upper nipper 4 intermittently opening and closing to upper and lower directions are provided over a cylinder rotating in clockwise, and a top comb 7 having comb needles 8 of front and rear two rows is provided between a detaching roll 5 and leather 6 for conveying after nipping fed lap and combing by a cylinder comb. Removed material such as nep, etc., is cleaned by a top comb cleaner 9 engaged with a cleaner 10 made of a flat spring inserted between the top combs 7a and 7b.
