BENZOPYRAN ANALOGUE

PURPOSE:To provide a novel benzopyran analogue having a remakable and durable blood pressure-lowering activity and further having a relaxation activity for vascular smooth muscle and other smooth muscles or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. CONSTITUTION:A benzopyran analogue of the formula [A is OR , NHCOR (R is H, alkyl, alkenyl, etc.; R is H, alkyl, amino, aryl, etc.]; R is H, alkyl, alkoxy, amino, aryl, etc.; or R and R form alkylene; R , R are H, alkyl, or R and R form alkylene; R is H, OH, formyloxy, carbamoyloxy, etc.; R is H; R is bonded to R ; X is single bond, methylene, O, etc.; the ring B is benzene, 5-6 membered heterocyclic ring, etc.; but when X is O, the ring B is cyclic group excluding the (substituted) benzen ring] or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. For example, trans-3-acetoxy-4-(1,2-dicetylhydradino)-3,4- dihydro-2,2-dimethyl-2H-pyrano[3,2-C]pyridine.
